Back from a suspension period and from the XV de France tests at Marcoussis, Bernard Le Roux is looking forward to challenge the bottom of the league team in Day 11 of TOP 14. Ciel et Blanc's flanker also has in the corner of his mind the international confrontation against Springboks.
How did you live through this special week, being first at Marcoussis and then to Plessis-Robinson to prepare the opposition against BO?
It all went well, particularly with the national squad. I made yesterday my comeback with Racing and am already concentrated on the coming match against Biarritz. It will be a tough confrontation to play. I truly think that my sessions with the national squad at the beginning of the week will do me good this week-end.
You had a very tough session on Wefnesday with the XV de France, how do you feel physically?
I feel great. Plus, you know, I had time to really shape myself the last couple of weeks (Smiles). I did'nt play as much during those last three weeks, only ten minutes against Clermont. I am really excited to play. I hope performing eighty minutes this week-end before returning back with the French National team.
Biarritz is living through a difficult period right now, have you discussed about it with your team-mates?
Not at all, actually. We analyzed and discussed about their game plans, not their situation. It is a very important match for us. We need points; to wear off our home loss against Grenoble, and to continue on this same momentum and stay in touch with the top teams of the league. We will travel there with the right spirit. We really respect this team of Biarritz. We want to win and will do anything for it.
Personally, do you have this date of November 23rd in a corner of your mind (France vs South Africa, ed)?
Yes (Smiles). I hope I will play against the Boks. It would be very special for me. I can tell you, I'll be there 200% fit and ready for this match! Maybe even more...
