Putting the final touch to the bonus point win over Biarritz last Saturday, the Ciel et Blanc made a point of celebrating Henry Chavancy’s 150th professional game with the club. One of the best players on the pitch, putting in a huge performance which included several mid-field breaks, at the end of the game the centre three-quarter was presented with a jersey honouring his exploit. A jersey made especially for Henry by our kit supplier Kappa, and signed by all the players.
Underlining Henry’s unwavering commitment to the club since the age of 11, the framed jersey was presented by four generations of Racingmen : the U11 Hugo Szarzewski, the Junior Crabos William Ebongue, our current captain Dimitri Szarzewski, and Patrick Serrière, legendary captain of the championship-winning side in 1990.
Later in the evening, another ceremony took place, honouring three other players. Fabrice Estebanez, Luc Ducalcon and Juan Imhoff all received caps from the hands of Jackie Lorenzetti, celebrating their 50th game for the Ciel et Blanc. Bravo, Messieurs!
